Dr. Mundy-Burgett graduated in the top 10 of her class at the Indiana University in School of Dentistry in 1992.

She has distinguished herself by receiving Two Clinical Achievement Awards from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

She was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the Highest Dental Academic Achievement Award) which includes only the top 5 % of dentists in the nation.

Because of her accomplishments in dental school, she was accepted to a very sought-after hospital residency program where she received post-graduate training in most of the dental specialties.

In 1997, her academic achievement was recognized by election into Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Continuing education (with a emphasis on new technologies, comfortable dentistry, and aesthetic dentistry) remains an important part of her professional life. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Indianapolis District Dental Society, and the Indianapolis General Dentistry Study Club.
